Ordered around Xmas 2010. As I expected from Ugly Stick. Very good build quality and near perfect action. The only flaw with my whole experience lies in the shipping. It was extrememly timely, arrived about 5 days after ordering when Amazon had previosuly suggested it would take atleast 10 days. Upon opening the packaging (bubble wrap covered in colored plastic wrap) I saw that one of the guides was bent beyond repair. I emailed customer support and did not hear any news back since. Luckily, i have a local rod repair guy who was able to replace the guide with an exact replacement for $10 with parts, so everything is fine. $55 for the rod, $10 for repair, still just as cheap as everywhere else on the planet. The bottom line, good product, bad shipping.

Hornady Unprimed 300 Win Mag Cartridge Case Review

I've loaded several hundred rounds with this brass and can find nothing to consider changing to another brand. Checking concentricity out of the box, 10 out of 10 cases have less than .001 run-out with about 50% half that amount. Weight and neck wall thickness appear to stand alongside Lapua brass - Lapua does not make 300 Win Mag brass.
I believe this to be much better than Winchester brass. When something works I see no reason to keep trying to make it better.
It is somewhat costly, but we all know about cheap products, you get what you pay for, etc. Until someone shows me a better 300 Win Mag brass I will continue to use Hornady.
