I bike from Brooklyn to NY City on an almost daily basis. Riding in city traffic can be hazardous enough but riding without a decent headlight/taillight is asking for an accident with vehicles or (even worse!) pedestrians.

I had a pair of battery operated lights which were never bright enough to really light up the street in front of me, let alone let oncoming drivers/peds to see me. In addition, the battery didn't last very long.

I was riding one night and someone came up behind me as I rode over the Brooklyn Bridge. Before he even came close, I could see his light and it was bright enough to cast shadows in front of me. He told my about his Cygolite so I researched and settled for this one. I am VERY glad I did.

The light is VERY bright and illuminates the street with no problem at all. As it is not winter and I ride a recumbent, I put the front fairing on which sits in front of where the light is mounted. The light is bright enough that, even with half of it reflecting off of the plastic fairing, it still shines though and is visible from a good distance away!

There are multiple modes but since I ride in traffic, I keep it on the steady and blink mode. This casts a solid beam in the center while flashing lights draw attention so people will look up to see what it is. If you are riding on rural roads or off-road, the solid beam bright setting should illuminate very well. There is also a solid beam low setting that is probably good when riding as the sunlight starts to fade and saves power as well.

The ability to recharge on any USB port is fantastic. I can pop the light off and charge it at home or work depending on when the battery starts to die down. Much more convenient that having to keep spare batteries around.

Mounting the light could not be simpler. You simply put the screw handle out of the notch it sits in to open up the bracket. Once you have it placed where you want it, simply put the screw handle back into the notch and tighten. The light slides onto the bracket and snaps into place and you are good to go. Since the light is detachable from the bracket by simply pushing down on a release button and sliding it out, there is never a need to remove the bracket once installed.

Overall, this is a great light no matter what your riding location. The price is great for what you are getting and the company is a solid company making a solid product.

I LOVE Sandies for a number of reasons, not the least of which is that they're an incredibly good deal. For $22, I get shoes that last an average of two years. They come in so many colors and each year, another one or two is added to the line. I wore these touring around Europe and Japan earlier this year--walking around all day, every day for over a week in each place--because they're much more comfortable than my Nikes etc., that cost five times as much. Call 'em throwbacks to an earlier era and it would be accurate. I've been wearing these shoes for tennis since about the early 80s and have yet to find anything as good in the interim. The 'Boks' are also good for wearing to the gym for weight training, cardio work on the various machines, or just knocking around on a weekend at the Mall or hangin' with your buds. In short, the shoes do it all and do it well for most any occasion, plus they still look retro cool.

I jazz mine up with some gel and foam inserts to help a little on the pounding of pavement. The leather provides more support than canvas, at least to me although that may be psychological in my case but I prefer the leather tops anyway. I'm guessing you do as well? They look better, last longer and simply 'feel' right.

This is the best fitting athletic shoe ever, they are so lightweight it's like walking on clouds!

Over the years I have tried so many different brands and they have fallen short in so many ways: Reebok, Asics, New Balance etc. They were either too tight or too loose fitting, fell apart after the first couple of trials at the track, or they just didn't have the style and pizzazz of these new Pumas. CatEye Strada Wireless Bicycle Computer CC-RD300W (Pink/White) Review

I've ridden close to 400 miles since I purchased this Cateye cycle computer and been quite pleased with it, but I didn't want to submit a review until I had a chance to measure the computer's accuracy. On my previous bike, I used a Trek cycle computer (wired). The distance measurement the two computers gave for my home to office commute were slightly off. I didn't know which one to believe. So the other day I rode along the Mt. Vernon trail, and when I passed mile marker 17, I checked the Cateye's odometer. When I passed mile marker 18, the odometer was accurate to the hundredth decimal place. I was very impressed.

Raves:
- Accuracy
- Size, style and installation (looks great mounted to the stem)
- ClickTec ease of use (with the Trek I had to fumble with buttons along the top and bottom)
- No ugly wires

Rants:
- Requires 2 batteries
- One time I hit a big bump and the angle of the wheel sensor changed enough so that the magnet and it began to hit each other

2/2/08 UPDATE: The tab on the bracket broke off when I popped the Strada out. I blame the winter cold stressing the plastic. I reported the breakage to Cateye, and then sent me a full parts kit (for mounting a sensor and bracket on a second bike) free of charge. Excellent customer service.

I ordered a North Face jacket for my wife from the seller, and it arrived quickly. However it was not the same color as the picture so I contacted the seller to ask for a refund. After numerous attempts, and no responses I started to get suspicious about the purchase. The jacket was very big for a large and we went to a local north face dealer and compared this jacket with the others in the store. It was a fake! Not the same fleece quality, and the large in-store was much smaller than this large which I would say was more like an xl or xxl.
