Louis Garneau Modesto Jacket - Men's (Bright Yellow, Medium) Review

I finally got a chance to wear this jacket in the rain and I was left dry, so the water repellency works. I didn't want to review till I had a chance to ride with it in the rain. It also does a great job of blocking the wind. And it vents well...as well as other more expensive jackets I've owned, in fact I see no reason after owning this to buy anything expensive again. The only con I could find, which I knew this before I bought it so not really a con, but it is not a cold weather jacket. This jacket is for cool fall or spring days/nights rides, used with a base layer or two to keep you warm if needed down to about mid to upper 40's if your layered right. The only other nick picky con would be to make this jacket with a safety neon green fabric so you stand out more on gloomy days, but some folk probably wouldn't like that. It is also not tight fitting which I don't happen to like tight fitting stuff anyways, besides you need some room for base layers. I found their sizing to be accurate at least for me, I take a medium, I ordered the medium, and it fit.

Not sure what all can be said about a jacket, it's a jacket, works like I wanted it too, it's made well with heavy duty zipper, it looks nice, vents good, it fits nice, and I'm happy with it, what more could I ask for? Oh that's right, the price was right.
