I detest fixing flat tires and it happens frequently with normal tires in our area. We are plagued with goathead thorns and the tires need to be able to deal with this hazard. These tires have a barrier and the goatheads can puncture the exterior without reaching the tube inside. I also use slime tubes so if a thorn gets through it can self heal. The tires seem to handle and grip as well or better than what I had before.
